I am drawn to landscape where the poetry of nature inspires me to investigate almost wild places. The concept of my work comes from nature and is inspired by many things, places, poetry, images, memory, each painting holds different stories of imagination and memory - what I am looking for in my finished work is clarity, unity, and fullness.

The structure of each work develops as the layers and lines interact with each other working simultaneously with presence and absence. I am increasingly reminded the knowledge I need for painting is perception.
